Teresa Ferracci’s representational style of painting, with its meticulous attention to detail, invites the viewer to step into her pictures. She works primarily in oils on canvas, producing landscapes inspired by the three locations - Italy, England, and California - between which she divided her time for 23 years. The realism of her Italian landscapes and village scenes entice one to explore the mystery and antiquity of that ancient land, while her images of rural England, capturing the calm and serenity of the well-groomed countryside, provide a visual resting place. Her paintings of favorite California beauty spots excite with color and movement.
Ferracci developed an early love of art while on family holidays visiting the great museums and galleries of Europe. Over the years her artistic accomplishments have encompassed many facets of self-expression, including jewelry-making, scrimshaw, and illustration, in addition to painting in watercolor, acrylics, and oils.

Ferracci grew up in Saratoga, California, and returned there in early 2006 after many years residence in the UK. In England she had run her own business, hand-painting silk which was made into men’s neckties, shirts and ladies’ scarves in Italy and sold in the Italian menswear shop she co-owned with her husband in London’s West End. Ferracci also pursued her fine art during that time, studying under the artist Angela Pearcey, and actively participating in her local artists’ group, exhibiting in their annual shows and other local venues. Her work has also been displayed in galleries and shows in London and California, and hangs in private collections across North America, in Europe and the Caribbean. Now a member of the Saratoga Contemporary Artists, Ferracci is continuing her painting here on the glorious West Coast.

Since her return to California, Ferracci has illustrated a children’s picture book, “Children’s Poems & Rhymes” by Gula Palmer. It is currently on sale at Barnes & Noble bookshops and at their online store:
